Since we have friends and family all over the country and world, we hope this blog will be a fun place for us to share photos and stories about our family.

Chloe Post: "snow, snow, snow, snow, SNOW"
It's also fitting because it is indeed a WHITE Christmas. We had 23 inches of snow which Mommy and Daddy said was a LOT OF SNOW. They worked hard to dig out our car and shovel our driveway and now both of them are complaining about their backs and shoulders. I feel fine.
Anyway, it's a good thing they worked so hard, or else I would have missed Aunt Diane's Christmas dinner! She and Uncle John always like it when I come to visit and I was happy to see them, too! I also got to visit with Aunt Gretchen (whose present I tried to steal) and Uncle Brian. He's funny! We laughed at each other a lot.
I had such a good time!

Chloe Post: OH MY GOODNESS
Mommy said it's because I am such a good girl!! I love Santa!
P.S. From Mommy... the elves must have made an error, my good girl isn't 1 year old yet... but who am I to correct Santa?

Chloe Post: The Discovery of Sugar Cookies
Today, we had flooding, so my school was closed... so Mommy had to work from home so she could take care of me. We had a good time and I was helpful by taking a 2.5 hour nap. Boy, I'm glad I did - Mommy took me to an office Christmas party and I was working hard!
Here you see me enjoying my sugar cookie (why has no one told me about these before?!) and goofing with Auntie Lu, but I had some serious responsibilties, too...
...I helped Aunt Melanie by serving as the un-official greeter for the event and spent most of my time mingling from table to table. Everyone said I am very cute and walking quite well for someone who is only 10.5 months old. Mommy explained that I am trying to get into the Panda room at school, so I need to be confident in my gait. It's important to have goals.
It sure was a fun day... I was so exhausted that I went to sleep at 6.45 - I never do that!

Chloe Post: Philly Christmas Traditions
Today, Mommy and the Phi Sigs took me to the old Wanamaker Building to see the holiday light show and hear the organ. Then, we went upstairs to see the Dickens Village. I really liked it!
I also really liked lunch. Aunt Gretchen let me try all kinds of yummy things - I love pickles!
Next, we visited Aunt Diane and Uncle John and they gave me an early Christmas present... and then Mommy and I visited Aunt Jennifer at the craft show. Whew! I am exhausted!! Christmas is hard work!!

Chloe Post: I am a Sailor
I *love* bath time. Bath time rocks! I like to splash and try to eat the bubbles and try to drink the water and splash and play with toys and try to eat the sponge and splash and just everything! Because I love the bath and I am a good girl, Mommy cashed in a bunch of her Pampers points to get me these cool boats. Daddy said that Mommy was wasting her time by typing in all of those codes, but I think it was worth it! Mommy said that I got these boats because of perseverence.
Whatever. Just call me CAPTAIN.

Chloe Post: Happy Thanksgiving!!
Happy Thanksgiving!! I had so much fun yesterday at Aunt Diane and Uncle John's Thanksgiving celebration... Aunt Diane makes really yummy food - my favorite was the pumpkin velvet soup - I love pumpkin!
Here I am with my Mommy and my Godmother, Aunt Diane. We're smiling because we're so happy to spend my first Thanksgiving together.
After dinner, we went for a walk to Rittenhouse Square to see the Christmas lights and then I took a little nap. Luckily, I woke up in time for dessert. Uncle John loves peanut butter (just like me) so Aunt Diane makes Peanut Butter-Pumpkin pies for him. Yummy!! Two great tastes that taste great together!
I slept really well after all the good food and visiting. Here I am this morning in my new, big girl crib.
Today, Mom-Mom and Mommy took me to meet Santa! I was a really good girl and Santa gave me these funny antlers to wear.
Yay for Christmas season!!
I am so thankful for all the people who love me, for toys and good books and for PUMPKINS.
Love,
Chloe

Chloe Post: Report from the Big Crib
Final Chloe Assessment: Comfy crib, appreciate the ambience, but it better not interfere with my ability to get my own way.
Final Mommy Assessment: Hey, man - she stayed in there all night and slept thru... so, even though she woke up 1hr 20min early, I am declaring it a victory.
Final Daddy Assessment: No report - still asleep at press time.

Chloe Post: Thank Goodness we found the Magic Camera to Computer Cord that No One will Let me Chew on
Here I am resting with Daddy... we were taking a break from unpacking. See the pretty new couch? It turns into a bed for Grams and Granpa when they come to visit me. It looks tasty, but M & D don't let me chew on it, so I can't tell you for sure.
Lately, M & D have been letting me try all sorts of new food (I LOVE PEANUT BUTTER) and the other day, I wanted to gnaw on an unpeeled orange. When M realized I was sawing into it with my two powerful teeth, she took me into the kitchen to "show me what's inside." She peeled a piece and gave it to me. I was unimpressed. I preferred this piece, with the peel still on it. But, M & D eventually took it away. They suck. So do eggs. Eggs are gross.
Today, I was helping Daddy build our table. I am a good helper. Like earlier today when M & D were building my new crib and I was lubricating the screws for them by hiding them in my mouth. I'm not sure why they freaked out so much. They are so over dramatic.
I'm so glad we found that cord so I could share these photos with you - I love my new house!!

Mommy Post - I'm skeered.
I don't know who these Speidi people are, but I'm afraid of them. Chloe may not play with anyone who stars on The Hills. Or Michael Vick.
Period.

Chloe post - All the latest
Mommy said it's a good thing, too... I am running out of room in our little apartment. I keep returning to areas that Mommy and Daddy want me to avoid. I like to try to spin the wheels on the laundry cart. And Daddy's bike. And the jogger stroller. Whenever I do it, Mommy says "that kid is BACK on the escalator," which makes Daddy laugh, but then I laugh at him laughing and don't believe him when he says I should leave those wheels alone.
Anyway, here are some awesome pictures of me on the move:

Thank you, Aunt JoJo and Uncle Fuzz
As you can see below, Chloe had a good time, too... she discovered icing and there may be no going back! :-)

Still sick, but need to post some photos...
Miss Stella was the photographer at the zoo last week, so I still need her to send me her photos, but in the meantime, here are two that were on my camera:
When we picked up Miss Stella to go to the zoo, Chloe was so confused... "why isn't she at school where she belongs?"... but in the end, Miss Stella is Miss Stella! It doesn't matter where she is, Chloe is a fan.
Of course, we had to get all decked out for the NKF walk at the zoo since we were walking with the Phi Sigs! We ran into a bunch of collegians and they loved our matching letters.
I know I've talked before about how much I love the teachers at Chloe's school, but I also have to give a shout out to the other families. I've loved becoming part of this community and often bring in things that didn't work for us (i.e. peas, diapers she has grown out of) to see if they can find a home. I thought it was so cool that Zavier's mom brought us this little scooter. Her daughter is a bit too old for it and since it's so girly, she thought it would be better for Chloe than Zavier! Chloe doesn't completely get it yet - she's not quite tall enough to have both feet flat on the floor, but it does help as a walking helper when she pushes it...
...and speaking of walking, guess who has started it?!!
On Friday, I was greeted with "CHLOE WALKED TODAY AND WE HAVE A PICTURE OF IT!" I was so excited (a little sad that Ed and I weren't the first to see it... another cost of being a working Mommy), but so excited that she did it. Miss Lady was all sorts of giggly when I got there... she KNEW that she had done something really cool. It was so neat. And then she did it while I was there... and all weekend long. She can't do it for long, but she manages a few steps. So, it won't be long before she's just running thru life... and as Grams said when I told her, we are in trouble.
My girl likes to EXPLORE.
LOL
